Tag Along Doll: Tabitha

This past weekend I went back to my crafting roots with some wool felt, cotton fabric and a basic needle and thread.

I'm far more precise with my fingers than a sewing machine, so opted to piece Tabitha together entirely by hand. I did sew three seams (for her dress) with my machine -- straight lines are hard to mess up.

Stuffed full of love, Tabitha is going to be pure joy to give away. Though, I have to admit, I kind of want a Tag Along Doll to keep.

I got the pattern for this 13" doll from Hillary Lang's book Wee Wonderfuls. What a splendid collection of amazing toys. Ms. Lang is a genius!

Stay tuned...more dolls and toys to follow.

I love her. She is just adorable. I made one of Hillary's dolls for my niece Marley last year and it was hard to give her away. I think I will be making one for my niece Lucy this year.

Hillary Lang *is* a genius. She is totally amazing and I have made several of her patterns with great success.

Good to see you getting back to a little stitching, there lady. As much as I love knitting...my heart will always belong to stitching, too. I just love fabric and wool felt. Swoony.
